SKILL LEVEL:

Adventurous Beginner. You CAN do THAT! And feel free to contact me with any questions.

METHOD:

The cardigan is worked back and forth using circular needles, starting from the mid-front and bottom up to the armholes. After reaching the armholes, the front and back pieces are completed separately. For the sleeves, you will work back and forth using circular needles (or straight needles) from the top down. The cable pattern on the sleeves is reversible and does not merge with the pattern on the front pieces. Finally, the pieces are sewn together—no tapestry needle needed, you can use your fingers!—to complete the cardigan.

STITCHES:

You will meet the following techniques: cast on, knit, purl, knit 2 together, c4f, c4b, cast off.

YARN:

Chunky yarn is an excellent choice for beginner knitters. Its thickness allows for quick progress, easy stitch visibility, and the ability to correct mistakes with ease. Knitting with chunky yarn is not only enjoyable but also highly satisfying.
In the cardigan pattern, I used "Crazy Sexy Wool" by Wool and the Gang in the color Mineral Pink. This 100% wool yarn is available in 200g/7.05 ounce skeins. Depending on your size, you will need 5 (5, 6, 7) (7, 8, 8) skeins.

For more BUDGET-FRIENDLY options that meet the recommended gauge, you can consider the following alternatives (you will need 435 (435, 522, 609) (609, 696, 696) yards):

- Drops "Polaris": A natural wool yarn with muted colors, priced at US $ 5.60* per skein.
- Knit Picks "Tuff Puff": Offering a rich color palette, this 100% wool yarn is available for US $ 5.99* per skein.
- MillaMia "Naturally Soft Super Chunky": With a vibrant range of colors, this 100% wool yarn is priced at US $ 12.99* per skein.
- Mayflower "Molly": Featuring elegant colors, this 100% wool yarn costs € 13.50* per skein.

* The prices provided are estimated.

Feel free to choose any of these yarn options as alternatives, ensuring that you match the recommended gauge.
